Christine McGuinness has responded to concerns about her recent weight loss.

The mum, who recently separated from her husband Paddy McGuinness, has been inundated with messages from concerned fans. However, she has stressed that she isn't losing weight intentionally. The physical toll break-ups can take on our bodies is something that isn't discussed enough. But Christine took the time to point out that it can really affect you, both mentally and physically. Christine told her followers that the past few months have been incredibly hard for her. "It’s no secret these last few months have been difficult but please rest assured I am healthy and happy. "I’m not trying to lose weight, I don’t want to lose weight," she told her followers. The mum added, "I am trying my best." Earlier this year, Christine and Paddy McGuinness ended their relationship after 11 years together. The couple, who share three children, said their family will always come first. "A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. "This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. "We’ll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship. "We still live happily in our family home together. We hope this now draws a line under any more unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life."
