Megan Fox has bravely opened up about having an ectopic pregnancy.
The actress shared the heartbreaking experience in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, confessing it was ‘much harder’ to go through than she expected.
When discussing the miscarriage she suffered with her fiancé, Colson Baker (Machine Gun Kelly), she sadly revealed that the ectopic pregnancy occurred years prior.
“I’ve really analyzed ‘why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?’
“Because when I was younger, I had an ectopic pregnancy. I’ve had other things that I’m not going to say because God forbid the world will be in an uproar.”
“I’ve been through other similar issues, but not with someone who I was so in love with,” Megan shared, referring to her fiancé.
“That love element really made this miscarriage really tragic for me and left me with a lot of grief and a lot of suffering. So, I put it into a lot of writing. He’s written about them in his albums as well, he wrote a couple of songs about the miscarriage.
“So it just felt like something that I could address publicly because it’s been addressed in one way through him, so I have a space to express as well.”
The actress, while promoting her book, ‘Pretty Boys Are Poisonous’, earlier this month, detailed the pain she and MGK went through and how it impacted them.
“I’ve never been through anything like that in my life,” she told Good Morning America.
“I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately…trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?'”
In her poetry book, the ‘Transformers’ actress shares that she suffered from a miscarriage in the first trimester of her pregnancy.
The poem reads:
“There is an ultrasound by your side of the bed.”
“10 weeks and 1 day
“I close my eyes and imagine
“Holding you tight against my chest
“I will pay any price tell me please what is the ransom for her soul?”
Megan shares three children with her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green; Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7.
