Paris Hilton has responded to ‘cruel’ and ‘hateful’ comments about the size of her eight-month-old baby’s head.
The media personality, 42, welcomed her first child via surrogate in January, a son named Phoenix Barron, whom she shares with her husband, Carter Reum.
After sharing some snaps with her son late last week of their first trip to New York, Paris was forced to defend the hurtful commentary around her son’s appearance while urging people to treat eachother with more ‘kindness’ and ’empathy’.

Taking to Instagram last night (October 23rd), the Stars Are Blind singer condemned the public’s response to the photographs of Phoenix and says just because she is a public figure, ‘targeting’ her son is ‘unacceptable.’
“Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable.
“This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe. I’ve worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return,” the new-mum wrote.

“If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful I’m a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic,” Paris reassured, adding that her son has become the “biggest blessing” in her life.
“I’ve dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember,” she confessed. “Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters.
“It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence. I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy,” she concluded her statement.
