We finally know the release date for Hocus Pocus 2!

We can't wait!

For years there have been rumours that a Hocus Pocus sequel was on the horizon but every year it would turn out to be false. That was until last year when Disney themselves confirmed that would soon be producing a Hocus Pocus sequel. Only a couple of months after Disney's announcement residents in Boston and Salem reported seeing sets being built for the film but there was still no release date in sight. That was until now.

Bette Midler, as well as the rest of the cast, Tweeted yesterday to announce the release date for Hocus Pocus 2 and we are so excited. Midler shared an image of the Hocus Pocus 2 poster as well as Tweeting;

"Sistaaaahs! It's been 300 years... But we’re BACK! #HocusPocus2 arrives Fall 2022 on @DisneyPlus"

As much as we were hoping that it would be released this year, after waiting for over 20 years for a sequel we can wait one year more. No doubt Disney had probably hoped to have Hocus Pocus filmed sooner but due to the pandemic it was delayed, which has been the case with many films and TV shows. On the Hocus Pocus 2 IMDB listing we can see that the Sanderson sisters will indeed be back as Sarah Jessica Parker ,Kathy Najimy,Bette Midler are mentioned in the cast line up. No other cast members have been announced so we don't know yet if that characters of Max and Dani will be returning. Disney are also planning to make a third Sister Act film and as the announcement for Hocus Pocus 2 and Sister Act 3 was in the same Tweet we're guessing we can expect a similar release date for Sister Act 3.
