Three weeks into the school holidays, and some of us might be (desperately) looking for something to keep the kids busy with – that doesn’t involve a screen?

Well, look no further.

Right now, IKEA has kicked off their Summer Funhouse event, which sees the store host tons of FREE activities including a treasure hunt, family fun activities and more.

The Summer Funhouse event is taking place from now until August 25th,  and includes drop-in and bookable sessions led by IKEA co-workers.

Kids of all ages will enjoy activities such as face painting and hot Air balloon making, with each activity has been designed to promote creativity that is both affordable and fun.

Oh, and for budding adventurers, the Jungle Quest treasure hunt will see participants search around the store for each of the six hidden animal toys from the DJUNGELSKOG range to win a prize.

As well as activities, there will also be lots of offers and deals for children and families, and during the event, customers can also access in-store offers across children’s ranges and in the IKEA restaurant.

There are 10 percent off ALL children’s ranges when spending over €50 – an offer not to be missed which ends on August 14th.

Also available during the Summer Funhouse event, customers can purchase two full children’s meal combinations in the restaurant for just €3, which includes a hot meal, dessert, drink, and a snack.

“The summer holidays are a time to relax, have fun and spend time with family, says Martyn Allan, Market Manager at IKEA Ireland.

“That’s why we’re delighted to be hosting the free IKEA Summer Funhouse event to help customers build play into their day more easily and affordably, which is great for boosting the whole family’s wellbeing.”

He adds:

“We look forward to welcoming customers in store this summer and beyond, giving them the tools to further encourage creativity at home during the rest of the holidays.”
