It’s really and truly exam weather, isn’t it?!
Every Irish person who ever sat their Leaving Certificate knows what the good weather and June Bank Holiday really means:
that at a desk in the corner of a bedroom somewhere, a Leaving Cert student is currently sweating it out over the books.
As the eldest in my family, I was the first child to sit the exams and I remember my poor brothers being forced to take it very seriously.
‘Be quiet, Sharyn is studying!’, I would hear my mother hissing at them as they tried to get on with the business of being teenage boys.
It must have paid off in the end, considering my brothers and I all eventually sat our Leaving Certificates and survived!
Comedy group Foil, Arms and Hog have released a really brilliant comedy video which encapsulates what most households with a Leaving Cert student are currently dealing with.
