The residents of Oxmanstown Road in Stoneybatter today woke up to the fact that one of them may be the winner of a cool €97,092 after a winning Lotto ticket was sold in their local Mascot Centre shop.

Shop owner, Cindy Kinsella, who has been running the shop alongside her business partner, Luther Moussa, for the last 19 years spoke on the excitement saying:

“This win is fantastic for the shop and the community. I would be very certain that this is a local win as we don’t have passing trade as such. Everybody is very excited here today”

“The recent TV documentary was also wonderful for the area and really showed Oxmanstown Road in a positive light. So this win coming so soon after is brilliant.”

The tight-knit suburb just recently featured in an RTÉ documentary about property prices and the ups and downs of it as experienced by the residents of the picturesque red-bricked terraced houses that make up Oxmantown Road.

A National Lottery spokesperson today urged people from the North Inner city to check their tickets to see if they are the lucky winners.

“We are delighted at this win! It is important everybody checks their tickets. If you are the winner keep the ticket safe until you can come into the national Lottery office to make your claim” they explained.
