Fair City star George McMahon reveals he is engaged to his longtime girlfriend

A huge congrats is in order for George McMahon and Rachel Smyth - they have become engaged. The Fair City star announced the news on social media last night with some gorgeous. Taking to Twitter, George wrote: "We’re on the roof of @themarkerhotel and my best friend @RachelDancer87 just said YES! #RachelAndGeorgeAreGettingMarried."

They already have a wedding hashtag! Now that's planning ahead. The pair recently welcomed a baby girl, Frankie into the world.

Speaking to the Sunday World at the time, the actor, who plays Mondo on Fair City said: "I was over the moon and on the way home I put on Sister Sledge’s Frankie on the car stereo and sang along. "I can tell people that this whole pregnancy thing is the best thing you've ever done, you'll never know love like it until actually happens and it's a really incredibly experience."
