The Home Alone reboot is coming together nicely.
We’re well into the festive season at this point. Presents are being bought, plans are being made and decorations are being hung.
The Late Late Toy Show has come and gone and almost every house you see has their tree erected in their sitting room.
But it could be argued that it’s not officially Christmas time until you’ve watched Home Alone.
And if you haven’t watched it yet, new information about the classic movie’s reboot will surely get you in the mood.
It has been revealed that Archie Yates (Jojo Rabbit), Ellie Kemper (The US Office) and Rob Delaney (Catastrophe, Deadpool 2) will star in the Home Alone reboot.
The news was broken by Variety in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The reboot will be exclusive to Disney + and will be directed by Dan Mazer (Borat, Bruno).
It is believed that Yates will not be playing the iconic Kevin McCallister, but a new character in a similar premise to the original franchise.
There is no release date yet announced for the reboot, but with Disney + coming to Ireland in the New Year, we reckon we should have the streaming service in plenty of time for when it does come out.
Keep the change ya filthy animal!
