A five-year-old boy was allegedly abandoned by his parents in the wood after he wet himself.
Lynda Michel and Gregory Wilson left their son alone in the Minnesota woods as punishment for wetting his pants, according to court documents.
ABC Action News reports that the boy was found crying by the side of the road by motorists.
The boy, whose name has not been released, was soaked from the rain and saying that he had been left alone by parents for being “naughty.”
He also had multiple bruises and injuries on his back.
Michel and Wilson did not report their son missing to the police, but they were later seen searching for him. They also claimed that they didn’t intend to abandon him.
The pair have been charged with neglect. They deny any allegations of abuse.
