She went on to say that her children were well supervised but the CCTV footage shows her child approaching and lifting the statue unattended. It has caused mixed reactions online with some saying she was irresponsible and should pay and others saying the statue should have had better protection."That type of artwork had absolutely no business being in that community center,I cannot believe they allowed something so dangerous to be where kids play."
The statue created by artist Bill Lyons was made of glass and unfortunately can not be repaired.
The Goodman family are disputing the fact that they should pay the huge amount and the matter is currently being left to their insurance company to handle.
