The fundraiser was launched to help her family bring her home

The family of a 26-year-old woman who was found dead in Dublin has launched a fundraiser in her memory.

The body of Raluca Elena was discovered on Griffith Avenue in Dublin 9 on March 6th.

Her family confirmed Raluca was a mother to a three-year-old daughter, who will now grow up without her mother.

They have launched a fundraiser to cover the cost of repatriation, as well as her funeral service.

They stated: “Raluca Elena (26 years old) was found lifeless on the side road of Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9, this morning.

“Her mother, family, and friends are absolutely devasted, especially a little 3-year-old angel who will grow up without her mum.”

They said they’re struggling to find the funds but hope the public can help following this tragedy.

“We are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of repatriation and funeral service. Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are grateful for every donation during this difficult time.”

Over €6,000 has been donated to the fundraiser so far.

Gardaí have launched an investigation into the death of the young woman.
