Gal Gadot’s daughter is ready to be the next Wonder Woman and it’s too cute

This is too sweet.

She’s ready to pick up the Lasso of Truth.

Gal Gadot has revealed that her six-year-old daughter is planning to take over her role as Wonder Woman when she is older.

The actress and Wonder Woman’s director Patty Jenkins recently opened up about the success of the film – and the impact that the superhero has had on their kids.

Mum-of-two Gal revealed that her six-year-old daughter, Alma, has been asking if she can take over the superhero role from her mum – even though she hasn’t seen the film.

She told Entertainment Tonight Canada

“She loves it.

“She didn’t watch the movie yet, because I’m the mother and I just try and protect her and give her normal things, but she will definitely.

“She’s very proud. She’s very, very proud… She’s already asked me if she can take over when I’m older.”

Patty added that her own son, 9, has shown more interest in her work since the Wonder Woman phenomenon began.

She explained:

“My son doesn’t care about what I do that much.

“But he plays with superheroes and he cares about those things and watching my own child’s transformation of being like, ‘Oh, I need that Wonder Woman doll, OK cool’ – she became a serious character to him.

“He loves Wonder Woman, and it’s been amazing to watch this character come back to that generation in such an authentic way and everything she stands for, right alongside all these other great characters.”

Not much is known yet about Wonder Woman 2, which is currently set for a November 2019 release.

There’s been plenty of speculation as to when it will be set – the current rumour is during the Cold War, with Diana Prince facing the Soviet Union – but it looks like there could be a special cameo in the works.

The director  revealed that they were keen to get the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, in the first movie – and refused to rule out a possible appearance in the second.

She told the publication:

“We’ll see.

“Lynda is one of the dearest people to us, has been a great mentor and dear friend.

“And we actually desperately tried to get her in the first one and we had the scheduling that couldn’t work, so she’s always been a part of our Wonder Woman family.

“We won’t say anything yet, but we certainly—there’s no lack of trying.”
