CEO of the Temple Bar company Martin Harte spoke out recently about the antisocial behavior that's rife in the city: “Last weekend, the city completely transformed. It was alive with people outside enjoying themselves and seeing people they hadn’t seen in a really long time. I was really gutted to see problems again at the weekend. We need to do more." https://www.instagram.com/p/CQZODn5HrTT/ Harte's company look after the interests of businesses in the famous Dublin landmark area and they're calling for more help from the Gardai: “We need a constant presence in the city, Gardai need to blitz the place. And the only way we can stop trouble is with a very strong visible presence. Not just Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights but 24/7. They need to be dealt with with harsh sanctions and zero tolerance to trouble. We want to have a healthy vibrant city without people ruining it for others." As parents, it's terrifying to consider the intent that goes into carrying a weapon into town. Antisocial behavior is, it seems, its own pandemic in Dublin right now.Gardaí seized a bottle of vodka from a 15 yr old in Temple Bar, Dublin 2. He was arrested for handling stolen property, a knuckleduster was located on his person, when searched. The youth was released into his parent’s custody pending a referral to Garda Youth Diversion Office. pic.twitter.com/mix24mO5Ca
