Gardaí commence murder investigation after the discovery of a man’s body

They are appealing for information.

A Garda investigation is now underway after the discovery of a man’s body.

The man’s body was discovered at a flat in Kevin Barry House, Coleraine Street, Dublin 7. His body was found at approximately 6:20pm on Monday, September 12th.

It is believed the man’s body was there for five days.

He was reportedly aged in his 20s.

The scene remains preserved and a technical examination is ongoing by the Garda Technical Bureau.

The body of the male was removed to the City Morgue, Whitehall, and a post-mortem is being conducted this afternoon by State Pathologist Dr Margot Bolster.
