“The grew close again” – Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are apparently dating in real life

Back in May, when the Friends reunion episode aired, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer finally revealed they had secret feelings for each other back in the days of filming Friends.

The cast of Friends recently came together at the sitcom’s 25th anniversary special to reminisce about old times on set, chatting about whether Ross and Rachel were really on a break, and revealing they'd had a mutual "crush" on one another.

"At some point, we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship. And we never crossed that boundary. We respected that," Schwimmer said at the time.

Aniston added, "We just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."

Needless to say, fans across the globe went into a frenzy learning that one of the most iconic TV couples of all time actually had a crush on each other IRL.

And now, in a completely unforeseen twist, it seems that the two former co-stars have fallen for each other again – more than two decades after they did so on screen. Speaking to Closer, an insider close to their pair has revealed that Aniston and Schwimmer – who are both currently single – have been growing close again since shooting the sitcom’s anniversary special and are currently dating.

"After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they'd always had to bury was still there," the insider told Closer.

"They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in L.A."

The pair reportedly spent time at Aniston's home, cooking dinner together in the evenings and enjoying "quality time" together.

"They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen's favourite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them," the source went on.

And to add fuel to the fire, Aniston and Schwimmer were seemingly flirting with each other online last week, as they promoted merchandise for the show. In his snap, David posed in a “lobsters” T-shirt featuring a silhouette print of their characters – and tagging Jen. In return, Aniston captioned her post, “For the record… we were SO not on a break”, in reference to their on-screen romance. We don't know if we can handle this, TBH. And we are not alone. The news of the possible romance has, of course, been met with huge excitement from Friends fans everywhere.
