Prince Harry ditched this huge royal Boxing Day tradition for Meghan

G'wan Meghan!

Ms Markle apparently put her foot down.

Prince Harry defied royal tradition, avoiding the Boxing Day Hunt this year, as his soon-to-be-wife, Meghan Markle does not approve of the custom that is killing foxes, deer and hare.

The 33-year-old prince bowed out while the rest of the royals, including Prince Charles and Prince William, attended the hunt as usual on the royal’s Sandringham Estate, which boasts 20,000 acres.

According to the Sun, an insider had said;

“The Boxing Day shoot was always going to be a tricky issue.

“Meghan is a keen animal rights campaigner and doesn’t like hunting in any form.

“Harry loves it and has always been out there on Boxing Day. But if it means breaking with long-standing royal traditions to avoid upsetting her, so be it.

“It’s fair to say there are some pretty stunned faces around here.”

One might say ‘bravo’ to Meghan! – for standing up for what she believes in and ensuring Harry knows it too!

Thirty-six-year-old Meghan and Prince Harry are currently staying with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Anmer Hall near Sandringham itself.

Undoubtedly it won’t be easy for the keen huntsman that is Prince Harry – earlier this month he went on a boar hunt in Germany while Meghan was in Canada.

Thankfully, Meghan seems to be bringing out the softer side in the Prince! The couple are due to be married May 19, 2018.
