When the move to Canada was announced, Queen Elizabeth II released an official statement, wishing them well.
"Following many months of conversations and more recent discussions, I am pleased that together we have found a constructive and supportive way forward for my grandson and his family. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family. I recognise the challenges they have experienced as a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years and support their wish for a more independent life. I want to thank them for all their dedicated work across this country, the Commonwealth and beyond, and am particularly proud of how Meghan has so quickly become one of the family. It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life".The news comes after Meghan and Harry made their first public appearance together since announcing their decision to step down as senior royals. They're thought to have attended a private event in Miami held by JP Morgan, a global financial services company. It's thought that Harry was a speaker at the event although a spokesperson for the company declined to comment on this report. In recent week, it's been suggested that the family of three may move to Los Angeles for the summer months and are thought to be in the process of looking at potential homes. This is where Meghan grew up and where her mum Doria Ragland lives, although at this early stage, nothing has been confirmed.
