Gold macaroons, pink lemonade and floral crowns were just a few of the lovely things to feature at an impressive baby shower thrown by Hilary Duff at the weekend.
The actress and singer hosted the event at her home for her older sister, Haylie, who is expecting her first child, a daughter, with fiance (and T-shirt entrepreneur) Matt Rosenberg.
As well as all the amazing food on offer, guests were treated to a crown-making table as a party activity; fresh flowers and mason jars so they could make their own arrangement to take home as a party favour; and fun photo ideas, including picture frames to pose behind and a giant cut-out of the parents-to-be.
Haylie, who hosts a TV cooking show called Real Girl’s Kitchen, said she’s not a fan of traditional baby shower games and instead loved the idea of starting a special book that was filled with advice from all the women who would be in her daughter’s world. What a cute idea.
