Kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend in style.
Ireland’s mini heatwave is expected to continue today with temperatures soaring to 23 degrees.
According to Met Eireann, today will see the warmest weather in the west and midlands with dry weather and breaking sunshine throughout the rest of the country.
Carlow’s weatherman, Alan O’Reilly tweeted about the high temperatures of today and tomorrow (which is expected to reach 22 degrees) – the perfect weather for a road trip.

Met Eireann also added that tonight will be dry with temperatures not dropping below five degrees.
“Dry and calm with long clear spells, though cloud will build across the west and northwest later.
“Some mist and fog patches locally too. Lowest temperatures 5 to 9 degrees Celsius.”
Sunday is meant to continue dishing out the sunshine. Temperatures of 20 degrees are expected and set to remain again for Easter Monday.
It’s certainly set to be a good weekend.
