Most of Ireland hit with warning over possible ‘hazardous’ travelling conditions

The weather warning has been issued for 23 counties.

23 counties have been hit with a Status Yellow fog warning that is due to take effect later today (Tuesday, 12 November).

Coming from Met Éireann, the alert is set to be valid from 6pm on Tuesday until 10am on Wednesday.

It applies to the entire provinces of Leinster and Munster, along with the counties Cavan, Galway, Leitrim, Monaghan and Roscommon.

The warning reads: “Widespread mist and fog. Potential Impacts: Hazardous travelling conditions [and] poor visibility.”

As for the rest of the weekdays, Met Éireann’s national forecast outlook says conditions will be “generally cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle”.

In terms of the weekend, it adds: “Cool overall. Brightening up on Saturday after some early rain.

“However Sunday, at present, could bring some wet and breezy weather.”
