This Irish Girl Singing Hallelujah Will Bring A Tear To Your Eye

Amanda Cassidy

She started singing when she was just three years old.

And now the voice of Kaylee Rodgers has been heard around the world.

Her stunning  version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah has stormed the Internet attracting more than 100,000 views

The 10-year-old is a pupil at Killard House in Co Down  – a school for children with special needs.

Kaylee was diagnosed with autism and ADHD a few years ago, but has come a long way to be able to perform with such confidence in front of so many.

Her headmaster, Colin Millar, told UTV that all the teachers are very proud of her performance.

“For a child who came in P4 and wouldn’t really talk, wouldn’t really read out in class, to stand and perform in front of an audience is amazing. It takes a lot of effort on Kaylee’s part.”

The video was recorded as part of the school’s Christmas show and has been heard as far as Australia and the US.

Well done Kaylee!
