Irish Rail have began a social media campaign to try and get a missing toy found at one of the train stations returned to its owner.

The cuddly toy, which looks to be a pig wearing a black and blue superhero costume, was spotted at Heuston Station around midday on Tuesday.

The transport company launched a social media appeal to locate the owner of the plush piglet, so that they could return him home.

A spokesperson for the company took to social media to explain that the toy, who has been given the name George, “has no ticket to get home”.
