Irish Rail has announced changes to some services for today and tomorrow

As Storm Emma continues to drop temperatures blow freezing – Irish Rail has given an update in relation to some of its services.

They are requesting that all passengers keep an eye out on this page for the next couple of days as unpredictable weather could cause even more changes to some of their services.

But for now, Irish Rail has released a list of service cancellations and “no Irish Rail trains will operate from 14:00hrs Thursday to 12:00hrs Friday at least.” 

The following are cancelled services:

Wednesday 28th February

The following services will not operate:

Maynooth services cancellations

  • 17:30 & 18:12 Connolly to Maynooth
  • 16:40,18:20 & 18:55 Maynooth to Connolly
  • 15:10 Pearse to Maynooth is defferred to 15:25

Phoenix Park tunnel services canellations

  • 16.20, 17.00, 17.58 & 18.40 Grand Canal Dock to Hazelhatch
  • 15.10 Newbridge to Pearse
  • 17.00, 17.31 & 17.55 Hazelhatch to GCD

Intercity service cancellations

  • 20.15 Heuston to Carlow
  • 21.35 Carlow to Heuston
  • 22.25 Portlaoise to Heuston
  • 23.10 Heuston to Kildare

Last service to depart Heuston this evening will be the 22.10 Heuston to Portlaoise service.

  • For remainder of today, all other services will continue to operate on all routes but are subject to some delays.
  • Docklands to M3 Parkway customers: please use Maynooth Line services from Connolly and transfer to train to M3 Parkway at Clonsilla. Docklands station is closed for the remainder the day.
  • Bus transfers between Limerick and Ennis due to a separate local flooding issue.

Thurs 1st March:

  • As above up to lunchtime, but with no Phoenix Park Tunnel services
  • From 12:00hrs to 14:00hrs services will wind down and no trains will operate from 14:00hrs Thursday to 12:00hrs Friday at least.

We will update arrangements after 12:00hrs Friday as soon as possible
