This Irish start up created the perfect toy for high energy dogs

For when multiple walks are just not enough!

If you have a high energy dog, then you know the struggle.

Ripped up post, eaten shoes, and mucky paw prints on your favourite jumper are just some of the battles we deal with in day to day life.

We even try to tire them out with long walks, but alas, it just isn’t enough.

Don’t get us wrong, we adore our pups, but when you’re tired from work, the last thing you want to do is play fetch for hours on end.

That’s where this Irish start up comes in.

K9connectables is an Irish start-up run by husband and wife, James and Lauren.

Lauren bought James an adorable puppy – a labrador mix called Sandy – back in 2013, however they struggled to keep up with her energy.

And so, after Sandy ate their wedding album, James created a “range of toys that would stimulate her mind, engage her senses and satisfy her desire to tear and break things apart!”

The toys can be stuffed with treats and connected together so the dog needs to figure out how the break the connection apart to get the treat out.

They used 3D printing technology to develop and test the designs for dogs of all shapes and sizes and the finished designs can “help alleviate common problems for dog owners such as boredom, loneliness, separation anxiety and lack of mental stimulation.”

If you want to check out more about the company or see what toys they have available, you can check them out here, or on Twitter and Instagram (the Insta page is SO cute, just FYI).

Happy wife dog, happy life!
