Jamie Dornan Opens Up About Life With Two Kids

Sophie White

Jamie Dornan is not exactly known as a family man – his two most famous roles to date that of Christian Grey in raunch-rom 50 Shades of Grey and as a psychopathic killer in The Fall don’t exactly scream sensitive type.

However, in a recent interview, he was surprisingly open and sweet on the topic of his two little girls.

Chatting to Kelly Ripa on her US chat show Live with Kelly, the Irish actor talked about welcoming his second child with wife, Amelia Warner, earlier this year.

“We’ve got two little girls now, so it’s pretty insane. . . ”

Quoting one of his best friends, he said that “one is a pet, two is a zoo.”

“I always thought I’d want the boy because … I think as a guy you just think, ‘I’ll have a little mini version of myself’ or something in a sort of narcissistic way, but then once you’ve had girls I can’t imagine having [another one],” he continued.

Host Kelly Ripa playfully joked that the baby’s sex is determined by the partner who is “dominant during the act.” At this outlandish claim, Dornan quipped “It doesn’t say much for me!”.

The Dornan/Warner household has become a touch more chaotic since welcoming their latest addition:

“It’s been a big adjustment, and it’s definitely harder, and you get less time to yourself, but human beings are very good at adaptation,” he said.

“You have to just go with it and accept less sleep and accept less time in your hands and accept less reading of books and washing and all the usual things you do in a day.”
