Customers are asked to return the product immediately.

John Lewis has issued a recall on one of their toys, My First Dolls, over fears that it could pose choking risk to children. It applies to four sets of the toys that were on sale between September 27 and December 6 last year. It said:

“The safety of our customers is very important to us, so as a precaution we’re recalling the following products as there is a risk part of the eye may become detached and present a potential choking hazard.”

The following sets are being recalled, My first doll, girl, My first doll, boy, Baby twin set and My first doll bumper set.

While John Lewis is a UK brand, this could apply to some of you if you bought presents from the UK or your children received gifts from relatives living over there.

John Lewis has indicated the codes that the recall applies to, batch codes are 1702 and 1703, which can be found on the box or on the doll’s label.

Issuing the recall on the website, John Lewis said:

“If you have bought one of these items from us since 27 September 2017, please stop using it, and return it to your nearest John Lewis or Waitrose Food & Home shop as soon as possible for a full refund.

However if yours is from a different batch and you remain concerned, please don’t hesitate to return it.

We’re very sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this product recall may cause you.”
