Christmas came early for Jools Oliver
The wife of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver no doubt was bursting with pride when she received a sweet message from her daughter Poppy.
Poppy, who graduated college earlier this year, won’t be spending Christmas at home with her family but that doesn’t mean she’s not thinking of them.
It marks the first year that the Oliver clan won’t be all together for the festive season, something that Jools admitted was making her feel a bit down.
Yet her daughter wasn’t going to let her mum feel that way for long as she wrote a heartfelt letter to cheer her up.
Posting a snap of the surprise, Jools expressed just how much it meant to her in the caption, writing, “Just when I was feeling a bit down and overwhelmed this little message arrives, I am obviously pretending that Poppy not being here for Christmas for the first time in 21 years is okay but really it isn’t.
“We miss her so much, especially now at Christmas when emotions are running high.
“I very often question how I have parented and parent my little ones, I always think I have done so many things wrong (and I know I have) but I know that I love them with every fibre of my being, I guess it proves that’s enough,” she penned.
In the emotional letter, Poppy tells Jools she thinks of her as a “best friend” and just how lucky she is to have such an “amazing” mother.
One particularly sweet passage reads, “I think I know that I could come to you with everything.
“Thank you for being there for me every step of the way, laughing, crying, and supporting, for having Daisy, Petal, Buddy, and River so I always have built-in best friends.”
Poppy signs off by telling her mum that she will forever be “in debt” to her mother for everything she has done for her over the years.
