Kate and Wills’ Norfolk mansion is now a ‘no fly zone’

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge began stepping up their security in May following the birth of Princess Charlotte, but now the world’s favourite royals have taken safety to the next level, banning all aircraft from flying within 1.5 miles of their country home.

Journalists and photographers have previously been warned against invading the couple’s privacy, but the no-fly order over the 10-bedroom country manor on the Sandringham Estate, where the family of four spend most of their time, is designed to put a stop to paparazzi intrusion for once and for all.

Earlier this year, Kensington Palace released a letter asking for the young parents to be given space and privacy.

The new ban comes into effect in November, having been approved by the Department for Transport, which agreed the measure was required ‘in view of the need for security for the Royal Family’.
