“Still very much missed”

Madeleine McCann’s parents have issued a statement on the 16th anniversary of her disappearance.

Kate and Gerry McCann’s daughter disappeared on May 3rd, 2007 and police have never found out what happened to her.

In honour of the 16th anniversary of Madeleine’s disappearance, her parents penned a moving tribute on the ‘Official Find Madeleine Campaign’.

Kate and Gerry wrote, “Today marks the 16th anniversary of Madeleine’s abduction. Still missing…….still very much missed.”

The heartbroken parents continued, “It is hard to find the words to convey how we feel.”

Kate and Gerry also shared a poem by Clare Pollard that resonated with them.

The parents are hopeful that they’ll find out what happened to Madeleine one day.

They also confirmed the police investigation is ongoing.

“The police investigation continues, and we await a breakthrough,” they added.

“Thank you to everyone for your support – it really helps,” Kate and Gerry added.

Julia Wendell claimed to be Madeleine McCann.

The parents have had quite an emotional year after a woman went viral for claiming to be their missing daughter.

Julia Wendell claimed she was the missing girl, but DNA tests proved her claims were false.

Following her negative test results, Julia issued an apology to Madeleine’s parents and claimed she never meant to cause any distress.
