We are sending the family so much love and wishing her a full recovery

Kate Middleton has announced that she has been diagnosed with cancer.

The announcement came this evening (March 22nd), following months of speculation about the Princess of Wales’ health and whereabouts.

Kate underwent abdominal surgery in January, with palace officials stating she would be taking time away to recover and would not return to royal duties until Easter.

In a video shared via her official social media, the princess expressed her gratitude to the public for their support and understanding.

She described the last couple of months as ‘incredibly tough’ for her entire family.

Kate then revealed that her ‘major’ abdominal surgery at the beginning of the year was successful and thought to be non-cancerous.

However, following tests after the operation, it was found that cancer was present.

The Princess is undergoing early-stage treatment with preventative chemotherapy, per the advice of her medical team.

Kate confessed that she and her husband, Prince William, have been trying to manage her illness privately for the sake of their children.

“As you can imagine, it has taken me time. Time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that’s appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be okay.

“As I’ve said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body, and spirit.

“Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too.”

The Princess continued by asking the public to allow them ‘time, space, and privacy’ as she continues her cancer treatment.

She added that she looks forward to returning to work once she is in good health.

“But for now, I must focus on making a full recovery.

The health update concluded with a message to those who are also battling cancer.

“At this time, I am also thinking of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer.

“For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone.”
