Kat O'Connor

Kate Walsh is back and fans are over the moon.

A fan-favourite has returned to Grey’s Anatomy.

Kate Walsh gave fans a glimpse at Addison Montgomery’s return and it’s safe to say they’re thrilled.

The actress made her debut on Grey’s in 2005.

In a teaser clip, Dr. Montgomery returns to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital to manage a group of interns.

She approaches the group and says “Hi, I’m Dr. Addison Montgomery and you must be the group that’s been screwing up this program.”

Walsh made her last appearance on Grey’s Anatomy in 2007.

She has since starred in Private Practice, Emily in Paris, The Umbrella Academy, and 13 Reasons Why.

Walsh praised the medical drama series and said “it definitely changed my life.”

She said she couldn’t wait to return to the drama series.

“I’m so excited to be home again joining Shonda [Rhimes], Ellen [Pompeo] and the rest of the incredible cast,” she continued.

“This season — eighteen! — just wait until you see what she has in store for you.”

Star of Grey’s Anatomy, Ellen Pompeo said she cannot wait to work with Kate Walsh again.

“Kate’s so fun!” Pompeo gushed.

“She moved to Australia, so I really haven’t seen her or hung out with her. I have so much affection and love for the original cast. We all went through something that only we can understand,” she explained.

The actress who plays Meredith Grey said, “So it’s always just really fun and very emotional, to be honest. When any of the original cast members get together, we always start crying, and we’re like, ‘Why are we crying?’ ”

Season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy is currently airing in the USA, but a release date for Ireland has yet to be confirmed.
