Katie Waissel shares heartbreaking post about her son not having a ‘whole family’

The former X Factor star took to Instagram to voice her family and relationship concerns.

Divisive reality TV star and former X Factor contestant, Katie Waissel, recently uploaded a picture with baby Hudson in which she expressed concerns over raising him as a single parent. Katie announced her split from gym owner boyfriend, Andy Speer, just two months after the former couple's first child was born. They had been on and off for a while and Andy broke up with Katie six months into her pregnancy before getting back together soon after. Katie's latest Instagram, however, suggests that she sometimes feels a degree of sadness for being a single parent. She said:

"My heart breaks for him because he is not part of a ‘whole’ family which I dearly wanted him to be."

Despite this, the thirty-two-year-old finished the caption on an uplifting note saying she strives to do the best job of parenting that she can:

"I want him to look back on this photo (and many others) and see that he and I thrived and with each day he grew, I grew, we grew together. I am who I am, and I promise to be the best I can be for the two of us. Him and I."

The honest post isn't the first time Katie has opened up to her followers as she has previously written about her weight gain during pregnancy and the struggle to adjust to everything postpartum. Fair play to any single parent out there, it can't be easy but Katie seems to be trying her best, which is all any mum can do.
