Kelly Clarkson has admitted that she physically disciplines her children from time to time when they misbehave.
Although it’s a very controversial topic, the TV host said she’s “not above” spanking her kids and said she does it.
Clarkson shares two children with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander.
Speaking to Atlanta Radio station 94.1, Kelly said: “I’m not above a spanking, which people aren’t necessarily into.
“I don’t mean hitting her hard, I just mean a spanking.”
She went on to say that her parents used to spank her when she was younger and so she doesn’t see the harm in doing it to her own children.

The singer and TV host also revealed that it can be difficult to discipline her kids in public because some people don’t agree with slapping children if they misbehave.
She said: “That’s a tricky thing, when you’re out in public, because then people are like, they think that’s wrong or something, but I find nothing wrong with a spanking.”
In a very honest conversation, she opened up and said she always warns her kids before she slaps them.
She said: “I’m like, ‘Hi, I’m going to spank you on your bottom if you don’t stop right now, this is ridiculous’.
“Honestly it’s really helped. She doesn’t do that kind of stuff as often.”
The singer has always been open about motherhood and often spoke out about feeling mum guilt and about the pressure put on parents.
