Kerry Katona has made the heartbreaking decision to pull her son out of school.

Kerry has been struggling to help her 15-year-old son, Max, settle into a classroom environment.

After a period of time, his struggles with behaviour in school forced her to make the tough call.

The singer said that she has spoken with a psychiatrist about her son and his ‘severe ADHD’ struggles.

Kerry shares Max with her ex-husband Mark Croft.

Revealing the news in her New! Magazine column, the mum said it wasn’t an easy decision to make but after Max had been sent home from school multiple times, she knew a different approach would be needed.

“It’s been a tough road for him and we’ve been through hell, but we’re all in agreement that it’s the best way forward,” Kerry wrote.

“It’s been going on for years and he was getting sent home from school as much as he was going in. Things go in one ear and out the other and then he gets really frustrated with himself and it affects his self-esteem.”

Kerry went on to explain that Max will now be homeschooled while also learning about the building trade as he has shown a massive interest in it.

Kerry also revealed that Max is set to start taking medication to help his ADHD, which is something Kerry resisted doing in the past.

She added: “At first, I said no because of the way I was treated when I was on medication, but it’s got to the point now where it’s the next step – It’s all been really heartbreaking and really tough.”
