Lindsay has yet to hint at her due date or her baby's gender but fans are over the moon for her following her joyous announcement.
Director of The Parent Trap, Nancy Meyers wrote, "Lindsay!!!!!! I’m so excited for you!"
Lindsay's Mean Girls co-star Amanda Seyfriend gushed, "This is WONDERFUL NEWS!!"
One fan wrote, "imagine your mother being the woman that gave us mean girls, freaky friday, the parent trap and confessions of a teenage drama queen… iconic."
"On Wednesdays, we wear maternity clothes," one fan joked.
Another also said, "My entire generation is loving this right now. I can guarantee it."
This is Lindsay's first child with her husband Bader Shammas.
The parents-to-be also confirmed their special news in a statement to TMZ.
"We are very excited for our new family member to arrive.
"We are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives!" they added.
The Parent Trap star married financier Bader in July 2022.
