“To dance with death twice brings a whole new view of the world”

Louise Thompson has praised the healthcare heroes who saved her life.

Last month, the mum welcomed her first child, a baby boy called Leo, but nearly died twice following his birth.

Luckily, the healthcare workers managed to save her life.

The mum explained that she has been recovering in the hospital for weeks with various serious complications.

She praised the healthcare heroes who saved her life.

“It certainly wasn’t the Christmas that we had planned, but then again neither were the last three and I’m still feeling overwhelmingly blessed to be at home and in my little bubble.”

“Others make a sacrifice for the greater good. It is a necessary sacrifice, but not everyone could do it. A 12-hour shift all through the day or night is admirable on a regular day, let alone on Christmas Day or tonight.

The former reality star said she hoped to visit the hospital on Christmas Day with cards and gifts for the “amazing ladies” who cared for her.

But the staff warned Louise that it wouldn’t be safe because she is vulnerable.

“I want to thank the room full of people who worked through the night to save my life.”

“To the midwives, nurses, registrars, doctors, consultants, housekeepers, cleaners, cooks, support workers, and not to forget the porters who have to move bodies behind the scenes.

“I even want to thank the students whose ears I chewed off.”
