Things are getting serious.

As Luca Bish and Gemma Owen enjoy their first holiday together, the fishmonger has told fans he plans on making things official with Gemma soon.

The pair, who came in second place on this year’s Love Island, are currently living it up in Portugal, and it seems like the time is right for Luca to ask Gemma if she’ll be his girlfriend.

Taking to Instagram, Luca initially shared a video of himself with Gemma out for a walk.

“Just out for an evening stroll with my girlfriend… psyche!” he said.

He followed it up with a caption that read: “Mission ‘ask Gem to be my girlfriend’ is in motion.”

Luca’s comments come just days after the pair chatted about their relationship on Good Morning Britain.

Gemma told hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Richard Madeley that they are “pretty much official”.

“I mean, we’re pretty much official,” Gemma said. “We’ve just not got a label on it. That’s up to Luca.”

To this, Luca replied: “I will do it.”

During this year’s season of Love Island, Gemma and Luca received 14.47% of the final public vote, ahead of Dami and Indiyah (11.7%) and Tasha and Andrew (10.07%), but behind the winners Ekin-Su and Davide who obtained a massive 63.69% of the votes.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Gemma is in talks with PrettyLittleThing, with a source telling The Sun that the fast-fashion brand are looking to sign her.

“She is being wooed by PrettyLittleThing who are desperate to sign her as they think she is the perfect new face of the brand,” the source said.

“She’s beautiful and they feel like she is the right choice out of this year’s islanders to follow in the footsteps of Molly-Mae Hague, who is now creative director of the brand.”

They later added: “All the big fashion brands are fighting over her, which proves what hot property she is. She is the girl everyone wants to sign.”
