Man Dodges Jail Despite Disgusting Attack On Pregnant Woman

A shocking verdict was handed down in Liverpool Crown Court this week when a defendant escaped jail despite having viciously attacked his pregnant partner and pushing her out of a moving car.

The judge heard that an argument between the couple had erupted when he told his girlfriend that he couldn’t give her a lift as he was low on fuel.

The girlfriend responded saying to the defendant with whom she has another child, that she didn’t love him. The defendant reacted violently pushing and kicking her until she fell out of the moving car resulting in her losing consciousness and posing serious potential harm to the unborn baby when she landed on her stomach.

The 25-year-old father was spotted driving erratically as he attacked his girlfriend, by a witness, David Lane who pursued the car to a nearby petrol station where he attempted to place the accused under citizen’s arrest.

According to reports, the father tried to punch Mr. Lane and threatened him with a paint scrapper before fleeing.

Robert Porter was given a nineteen-month sentence suspended for two years after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, possession of an offensive weapon and actual bodily harm. He has been ordered to complete 180 hours of community service and to attend a Building Better Relationships course.

His lawyer maintained that Mr. Porter “is totally ashamed of the way he treated the mother of his children.”

Thankfully the victim was treated for minor injuries, and her unborn child was unharmed. The couple remain in a relationship.
