Meghan and Harry ‘snub’ Christmas invite from William and Kate amid rift rumours

“It’s quite surprising.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to have turned down an invite from Prince William and Kate Middleton to spend Christmas together, amid ever-growing reports of a rift.

The Sun report that instead the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were invited to stay at the Cambridges’ Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, where they are said to have had a “fantastic” time last year.

However, the parents-to-be turned down the invitation – and, in a “surprising” move, decided to spend it with the Queen at Sandringham.

A source added:

“There’s not a huge amount of room at Sandringham so it’s quite surprising. Maybe they just want their own space.

“Things are civil between the couples but they don’t spend much time together.”

Rumours of a rift between the two royal couples have been gaining traction in recent weeks, following the news that Meghan and Harry were going to be moving to Windsor.

Especially after Kate was said to have been left “in tears” after a fitting for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress. And then there was speculation that there was no feud, after Kate’s recent comments about Meghan’s pregnancy.

Even the brothers were thought to have fallen out at one point over his relationship with Meghan.

We just can’t keep up.
