Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have “set a game plan” to ensure that their future children have as normal an upbringing as possible, according to a royal insider.

The couple, who are expecting their first baby in the spring, want to “bring up children who know the values of normal things in life,” royal correspondent Omid Scobie told Us Weekly.

The duchess in particular will be “changing the royal parenting rules,” he said, and making sure they grow up with ordinary childhood experiences.

It sounds like she plans on being just like any other mum.

“Meghan will take her kids on a subway,” Omid continued.

“They’ll have chores, and jobs one day. They won’t be spoiled.”

The couple are said to want their children’s upbringing to be different to Prince George’s and Princess Charlotte’s – which should be easier for them as George and his siblings are much higher in line for the throne than Harry’s will be.

The prince’s future offspring won’t automatically inherit prince or princes titles. It’s thought that Harry and Meghan won’t seek them out from the queen to make sure they’re raised as much outside the royal spotlight as possible.

Of course, it’s not the first time we’ve heard about a royal mum striving to give her kids an ordinary upbringing.

Princess Diana famously fought for William and Harry to have as normal childhoods as possible.

She brought the boys to theme parks, to MacDonalds and famously used to sit with them to watch Blind Date on a Saturday evening.
