Pregnancy is no walk in the park and there are a few things which can cause distress for mums-to-be during the nine-month period. Tiredness is pretty common but extreme insomnia and not being able to sleep can be very difficult particularly when you're trying to get used to your whole body changing too. It seems that Meghan Markle is experiencing the above and has compared pregnancy to jetlag which can't be too much fun when all is said and done. The 37-year-old and husband Prince Harry visited Bondi Beach over the weekend as part of the royal tour and while there, they met with OneWave, a community surfing group. One Wave participants often practice yoga and this led Meghan to chat about the exercise, one of her favourites with Charlotte Connell, who is 23 weeks pregnant. Charlotte was at the beach with her son Finn and in conversation with The Daily Mail, she explained how they started chatting.

"Meghan told me that pregnancy was like having jet lag. She said she was "up up at 4.30am this morning doing yoga in her room as she couldn't sleep.

"It’s a bit of a double whammy for her, she said, as she has both the baby and the jet lag to content with.

"We both talked about how you feel jet lagged even though you have not travelled anywhere.

"Even in her jet lag she got up to do yoga this morning at 4.30. Physical activity like yoga and surfing is so good for healing your mind."

Although Meghan is feeling the effects of jet lag having made the journey from London to Australia, both she and Chantelle noted that pregnancy can make you feel so wrecked that you feel jet-lagged even if you haven't stepped foot outside the house. Harry and Meghan are soon due to visit their next destination, New Zealand, so here's hoping the tiredness wears off.
