Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sent a beautiful message to fans in their anniversary thank-you notes.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their one year wedding anniversary in May 2019  - and following the occasion, they sent out special messages to the followers who sent them well wishes. Instagram user @gertsroyals shared a photo of the thank you card on the photo sharing platform. The picture showed a beautiful photo of themselves exiting St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, immediately following their wedding ceremony. In the photo, the couple are holding hands as they gaze adoringly at each other. The message accompanying the card reads:

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were so touched that you wrote on the occasion of their first Wedding Anniversary. “It was incredibly kind of you, and Their Royal Highnesses send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.”

To celebrate the occasion earlier this year, the Sussexes shared a sweet slideshow on their Instagram account - which featured plenty of behind-the-scenes photos from their special day. They include shots of Harry and his best man Prince William leaving for the church, Meghan sharing a private moment with her mum and each of the couple signing the marriage certificate. The photos were compiled into a slideshow and set to a gospel choir rendition of 'This Little Light of Mine'; the song chosen by the bride and groom for the recessional on the day. In a message from Meghan and Harry themselves, they thank fans for making their wedding "more meaningful".

"Thank you for all of the love and support from so many of you around the world. "Each of you made this day even more meaningful."
