The Duchess of Sussex presented an award to her wedding dress designer.

In a moment that stunned everyone last night, Meghan Markle appeared on stage to present an award at the Fashion Awards in London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The Duchess was there to award Clare Waight Keller – the woman responsible for her Givenchy wedding dress, with the honour of British Women’s Wear Designer of The Year Award.

Meghan’s surprise appearance shocked everyone in attendance and gauging from footage released, the reaction was pretty crazy!

Hello! reported that Meghan thanked the crowd for their “warm welcome” and continued her speech to say:

“When you chose to wear a certain designer, we’re not just a reflection of their creativity and their vision but we’re also an extension of their values, of something in the fabric so to speak that is much more meaningful.”

Having gotten over the shock, Clare thanked Meghan for the honour of designing her dress and for the privilege of getting to know her on a personal level:

“This woman is so amazing. I got to know Meghan on such a personal level, and to have someone like that trust you in an incredible moment in their life is something that is just the most unbelievable honour and I can’t thank you enough.”

37-year-old Meghan looked radiant with glowing skin and a slick updo. The Duchess donned a black one-shouldered Givenchy gown teamed with three gold bangles…and she broke royal protocol with dark nail polish!

Last night’s event was indeed a star-studded one. Everyone from Cindy Crawford to Kate Moss to Kendall Jenner and Victoria Beckham were in attendance.
