Meghan Markle reportedly wants to break this common wedding tradition

As preparations for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s nuptials in May this year continue, rumours of wedding details are beginning to slip out. And it seems Meghan isn’t going to be doing things by the book. The actress is reportedly hopeful her mother, Doria Ragland, will walk her down the aisle on her big day. Yes, according to sources close to the couple Meghan wants her mother to be with her as she walks to the altar.

“I’ve heard that Meghan wants her mother to walk her down the aisle, which would be a sweet moment,” the close source told Us Weekly.

The move would not only break royal tradition, it would break the common wedding tradition that brides tend to stick to. However, in recent years, more and more brides have gone against the trend. Sources close to the couple are saying that this could be the first of many traditions that Meghan and Harry bid farewell to.

“While they will always be mindful of traditions and the views of their elders, the day is ultimately about them and what they want to do. “The day of the wedding itself will certainly hold a few unconventional surprises Don’t expect a royal wedding by numbers.”
