Plus, another gale warning is in place.

While we had a few warnings at the beginning of the week due to Storm Gareth, it seems like it’s not letting up for one particular county.

Donegal has been issued with a Status Yellow snow and ice warning, which will be in place on Saturday. The weather forecaster said: “A spell of snow on Friday night and early Saturday morning will lead to poor driving conditions and accumulations of up to 3 cm. On high ground accumulations are likely to be greater.”

It will be valid from Saturday 16 March 2019 00:01 to Saturday 16 March 2019 12:00.

Meanwhile, be careful if you’re in or around the Irish Sea as a gale warning has also been issued. “Westerly gales will develop again tonight on all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea,” Met Éireann said.

If you’re wondering what tonight is going to be like, the weather forecaster has noted: “Tonight rain will be widespread for a time. Clearer conditions with scattered showers will extend from the northwest later, reaching the south by morning. Minimum temperatures 3 to 7 degrees, in fresh and gusty westerly winds, strong along Atlantic coasts.”

Be careful out there.
