It's going to get worse before it gets better with heavy and persistent showers covering the whole country tonight. "Tonight there will be heavy rain for a time in all areas. Towards morning it will become drier again from the west. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees. Moderate to fresh southerly winds will turn westerly later." Saturday isn't looking too bad however, as the weather forecaster says it will become drier throughout the day. "[It] will be a brighter day with sunshine and showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh westerly breezes."Rain through much of the west and north of the country today, persistent and heavy at times. It will be drier in the east and south with just a few outbreaks of rain. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees and it will be breezy. pic.twitter.com/jW5hNmJlOT
