The weather forecast for the entire day consists of rain, wind and snow
Cold, wind and rain... and maybe snow.
It's absolutely freezing out, and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better any time soon. A status yellow snow and ice warning is still in place across the whole country while Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Kerry and Limerick still have a wind warning in place.
But while we all wait for snow to fall down on us, Met Éireann says the weather today will be pretty miserable.
Cold & windy today with widespread heavy showers. Some showers will be thundery with hail & some will be occasionally wintry also. Highs 5 to 7C in gusty W winds.
Windy & showery this eve & early tonight, showers more isolated later in the night and winds easing. Lows 0 to 2C. pic.twitter.com/zKM4BLm6zi

The weather forecaster said: "Cold and blustery today with sunny spells and occasional passing wintry showers. The showers will be most frequent across the north and west - mainly of hail or sleet, but with falls of snow in places. A small risk of isolated thunder. Highest temperatures 4 to 7 degrees in strong gusty west winds."
And for tonight: "Continuing windy with further wintry showers this evening and early tonight but they will become isolated and confined mainly to Ulster and west coasts overnight. Winds will ease. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +2 degrees with widespread frost and icy stretches."
