Met Éireann say we’re in for high temperatures, rain and a lot of humidity today

Olivia Hayes

Rain, rain, go away.

If you were hoping for no more rainy days this week then you’re going to be disappointed. Met Éireann has predicted that while temperatures will go up to 25 degrees, we are going to see some scattered showers across the country.

The weather forecaster said: “Showery rain in the southwest and west of the country this morning clearing to scattered showers in the afternoon.

“It’ll be mainly dry further north and east with a mix of cloud and sunshine with just isolated showers. Another humid and breezy day with top temperatures ranging 20 to 25 degrees in fresh southeasterly winds, strong along southern coasts.”

Meanwhile, tonight there will be “clear spells and showers overnight, these mainly in the south and west of the country with a good deal of dry weather elsewhere. Staying humid and breezy with minimum temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in fresh southerly winds.”

We’re really looking forward to the weekend though! While it won’t be as warm as it has been, it will be mainly dry – and to be honest, that’s all we want!

“Largely dry on Saturday with sunny spells and just a few passing showers. Maximum temperatures 18 to 21 degrees in light northwest breezes. Dry overnight apart from an isolated shower in the west. Minimum temperatures 10 to 13 degrees in moderate northwest breezes.”

On Sunday, it will be “dry across the bulk of the country with a mix of cloud and sunshine. However, there will be a few slow-moving showers. Maximum temperatures 17 to 21 degrees in light, variable breezes. Isolated showers overnight, otherwise dry. Minimum temperatures 10 to 13 degrees.”
