Met Éireann reports that the weather this week will be extremely ‘unsettled’

Oh… GREAT!

Another week, another grim weather forecast.

Last week we endured blistering cold snaps, frost and even snow in some parts of the country.

So what does the weather have in store for us this week?

Met Éireann reports that the weather this week will be extremely ‘unsettled’, which is never cute.

“Tuesday night will be cool and breezy, but dry apart from a few showers near west coasts.”

“Wednesday will be a cool bright and breezy day with a mix of sunny spells and passing showers. The showers will occur mainly across western counties – some prolonged, but will be isolated further east. Southwest winds will be fresh and blustery. A longer spell of rain will affect most areas on Wednesday night.”

“Little change on Thursday. A similar mix of bright sunny spells and occasional showers – again the showers mainly in the west. Strong southwest winds will ease during the evening and a slight ground frost may occur overnight.”

“Then rain and strong southwest winds will spread to all parts during Friday. The rain will be heavy too with winds gusting to gale force. It’ll stay relatively mild however.”

“Next weekend overall look very unsettled with occasional showers and longer spells of rain. Winds mainly from the southwest will be often strong with the potential for gales developing widely. Any night time frosts should be minimal however.”

Ugh – bring back the frosty cold please.
